Oki-cokey / Hokey-Kokey / Okey-Koki
Well, i dont know how to spell it,, but basically i think that tourny matches should be played,
In/Out/In/Out/In/Out/In/Out... etc
or
Cavern, open, cavern, open etc (in wormers talk)
what do you think?

Maybe a preset number of randomizations should be used, then the next random different terrain for each round after that?
eg randomize 5 times (gives open) next round, next random cavern next round, next random open
and vice-versa

Good question. I usually go for either 3 islands or 2 islands and 1 cavern*, in any order.
The 8 types of map are, of course: Large/small island, large/small pair of islands, single open-ended cavern, *single closed cavern, pair of open-ended caverns, bottomless cavern.

I think that only using the one type wouldnt give as fair a representation of the wormer's skill as two. Some are better roping, some firing.
If only there were 3 map types - it would all be solved.

It's not just islands and caves, there are 8 different map types all requiring a slightly different gameplay. I'm sure both players can decide on the type or map. And if thats not the case, play the following: my map - your map - random map. Also i think the low island map is not a good map to play default games on, especially when you are playing with 8 worms each. Not enough space, too many worms, no hiding spots, that just doesn't seem right

Too much drowning, as well.
Yeah i see what you mean. I like your idea - let each man choose.

[glow=green,5,0]The ones that kill me are the split level maps.. The maps where you usually have one team on the top level and the other on the bottom, just waiting to drown. I would recommend that these maps never be used in a tourni game. My two cents.

Sounds fair, but if someone has a problem with every type, we'll end up playing with none. I think that if the two players agree, any type can be used.

Yo guys. Just a note: Everyone of gets to quarter-finals will be set in diferent groups in 2004 CWT, becoming the head-wormer for each group. This is to avoid random setting to put many favourites in same group.

cool as fudge! you could also back-pedal through the knock-outs and put them seperate groups i guess.
