Hey Fury, have you never heard the expression... it's not over until the fat ladys sings?
It's not over until the fat lady sings The original and full phrase was: The opera ain't over until the fat lady sings. It was first used in a column by American sports writer Dan Cook in 1976. Cook's column, which appeared in the San Antonio News-Express, was about the San Antonio Spurs, a professional basketball team....
Cook, who also worked as a broadcaster for KENS-TV in San Antonio, repeated the phrase in April 1978 when the Spurs were down three games to one in the playoffs against the Washington Bullets. It turned out that Cook was right, the fat lady had not sung for the Spurs, but she was waiting in the wings. The Spurs won the next game but lost game six and the series. Dick Motta, the Bullets' coach heard Cook's broadcast and used the phrase himself to caution against overconfidence in the Bullets upcoming series with the Philadelphia 76ers. Motta was widely quoted and the phrase entered the sporting vernacular.

It's one of our sayings: "the show isn't over 'til the fat lady sings." It's basically the same as Teletubbies' old sig - "it's not over 'til it's over". I think it comes from Operas which end with an aria sung by a fat soprano On the subject of crates, I don't think a game without crates is boring, but I do think they make the games more interesting. I am, though, wholly opposed to crate showers (the wormpot mode), coz then shopping starts to compete with worming.

VoilĂ - two simultaneous answers to your question, fury. Mine is much more substantial and informative than Teletubbies' I ain't learning Spanish... Although I did ask Javito to translate something for me to say to one of my Spanish-speaking lecturers. I've delivered the message, and I think he deduced that I don't know much about the language.

All right I will put my two cents in. I hate crates and never use anything I get even when faced with an X2 damage I normally just take one shot with the shot gun. I do on occasion use the crate itself as a weapon (nade+Crate blowing up= 100 damage) However this is a personal choice I would rather win buy playing better then my opponent then win against an opponent that played better then me buy a crate. I never expect the same from or get pissed at an opponent that uses crates against me.
I think the rules are fine as is. As my grandfather use to say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." When playing best of 5 rounds one may get lucky and win a round buy a crate but in the long run, the better player normally wins the game. Plus for those of U who never tried to take crates out of the INTERMEDIATE scheme, If U modify the intermediate scheme in any way U loose the jetpack and select worms. So there is no real way of removing crates without compromising the scheme.
As far as the killing of a worm with a guider. Anyone who knows how to it do must also realize that aside from killing you own worm u need a vary particular set up for it. The same set up that can allow 65+ damage from a cluster bomb. I just don't see it as being particularly use full. But it certainly should not be used because it is something of "A glitch" the same as using bunge in midair, getting on top of a cavern map, or firing an arrow up to 90 degrees. All these tricks can be neat to see or do but are not real use full in real playing.
So called "Cluster Abuse" on the other hand is not "abuse" or a "glitch," at all but is simply making the most of a weapon. And something experienced players would not leave them selves open for, Just like a jump+kick to get a worm up and over an obstacle, using the old under water missile attack or skipping a zooka across the water. All of these I consider far playing because they do not take advantage of or exploit programing problems in WWP
