CWTers have a responsibility to arrange their games. Crespo and myself have neither the time nor the patience to chase after lazy wormers... ...In other words, as far and myself and Crespo are concerned, Fantomas has disappeared, and Goku has failed to act on this laziness. Just read the last sentence again... so Goku had to do what? go to Latvia and force Fantomas to turn his pc on? If one players disappears or does anything to avoid playing the game, I see no possibility to 'act on this laziness'. And you are wrong, its host's responsibility to get the tourney running, since it's the host who's in charge here. "CWT 2005 is (still...) about to finish!" - what it says on the front page

TT: Yes, it's a pity, but because the last four players haven't played their two respective games in over 3 months, Crespo thinks (and so do I) that none of them deserves to win it. We could've taken the four losing quarter finalists (including me ) and put them into two new semi finals, but because of the work that's needing to go into CWT 2006, Crespo doesn't want to do that, so we're cancelling '05. Jigsaw: Goku should've done what you're doing now, and he should've done it two months ago. The fact that we're having this conversation now instead of two months ago is precisely why the final has been cancelled.

Having said all this, I don't think CWT '05 has been officially cancelled, so it could still theoretically be played.

If it wasnt for this stupid rule that the final has to be played after the 3rd place match, we would have a new champ already.
And Goku told me that Crespo said they have time to play untill the end of the year, and that he talked to Crespo on msn many times (hey, probably thats why he hasnt sent any emails!)
Thats why I suggest to set up a date for them, its easy as that...
stop being so headstrong! ;P

As I can read in this thread, things related to timekeeping are not going to change so much in CWT 2006... And what I read about Goku having to chase Fantomas is not a good idea to me. I agree with all what Jigsaw said, and this is also the reason why I told Crespo I won't play in 2006. According to me, the host is the one who should make the tournament run smoothly. I'm not saying it's not a tiring or time-consuming task but if you think you don't have time, delegate this task or terminate CWT...

The enforcement of the timekeeping rules will be very different in 2006. I know this coz it's me who's doing it

yes, its greatly unfair for him, and all Penguins arguments are not valid and dont even agree with what Crespo (supposedly) said to Goku

Hi guys! You were probably sure, that I've disappeared forever, but take it easy! I've just been so damn busy for the past 3-4 months and have only been able to check the board once per week, not to mention that I haven't played a single game in this period... I don't want to verbalize, so I'll just tell you all one good thing, I'm BACK to CWT and the final is going to be played till the end of this year (probably next week, as I need some time to restore my wormy powers)! ;D

Fantomas is here!! You should've told us you'd be busy, and in these one-a-week visits to the forum you should've let us know what was going on. If Crespo decides to let the final go ahead, then you (and Goku) should be very grateful that your prolonged period of inactivity was tolerated. (I wonder if the third-place playoff will be played...)

I just had a voice chat with Penguin a while ago and we tried to figure out something to fix some rules.
So, what will do about restarting games? restart it all over with random first player? Restarting with health handicap on the team that was losing? recreating at most the conditions of the round, by playing with the same amount of worms that was verified to happen at the time of disconnection?
We would like to hear from you before setting this up for 2006.

I see only one solvation for it And i'll use it in my GreeDy TournEy
Host (or host assistant(s)) must spectate every match monitoring it (maybe also recording it) so after the disconnection Spectator will decide the the start status or maybe in some suspicious cases anounce a winner without restart
*edit: So how about that FINAL? did i miss anything?

(I wonder if the third-place playoff will be played...) I'm here too, but I haven't heard a word from Darasek since... I don't know when. I had asked him to reply to my emails since I haven't been able to stay online on MSN lately. It's also true that I've been extremely busy this end of the year, so realistically I don't know how much of a game we could have had in the last couple of weeks, but still... Darasek, if you're around, give me a shout - my schedule is a bit more relaxed these days, so who knows, maybe it's not too late for this game either.

Games could be played normally until they reach a connection problem. I mean, if game crashed or disconnected then they both agree on what to do, or, if they could not reach at an agreement then spectators are needed, both should agree on the ammount and wich spectators/jury will watch their game and then restart the crashed round starting the same player that started before. As they agreed with such spectators then the final decision about the winner if discconection happens again is taken from the jury. They could agree about taking spectators from the very begining, but in most of cases this is no needed because both wormers trust each other. I re-open another question here, real disconnections as a random factor, they are as destructive for one player as if someone take and use a nice crate (ropes, banana, etc). So if disconnections are something bad i think that crates with they power to make equal disaster to a game, they should be forbiden. not all crates has the same game-destructive power so i will try to make my personal clasification of weapons. Not allowed crates: * Banana bomb, Donkey, etc. * Dinamyte, sheeps, cows etc. * JetPack, LowGravity, Ropes * SelectWorms Allowed to use crates: * Invisibility (I think that this one adds nice tactics to the game) * Standar infinite weapons [ Allowed... as u cant avoid using them once u pick it up, and sometimes they are on your path, they should be allowed ] * Healh crates * Double damage I dont know what to do with them, they can be very preciouss but just on specific circumstances: * Chutes * Arrows * Skunk * Petrol And maybe im missing some weapons...
