Yesterday i played elite and really funny thing happened: mines in elite are instant without duds, so my opponent punched my worm onto mine, worm bounced against mine, mine moved a bit but didnt explode , then i pushed it with shotgun on enemy worm and it exploded lol, anyone knows how could that happen? Later that evening i played Darasek and i took 59hp to worm with 100hp with an axe... looks like wwp cheats ;D

If the target-worm is standing on an other worm and you hit it, the worm will "fall down" and get more damage. It's a weird thing

I've had some erratic axe scores over the last couple of weeks, actually ranging anywhere from 31 (from 100) to 92 weirdness

That mine thing happened to me a few days ago. I was playing a no0b (lol) and a at one point a worm set-off what turned out to be a dud-mine. Later on, I drilled down, and when I got close to the mine, it went off...

Yes I have had dude mines come back to life a few times. Once when shoting an uzi, near it and again with a sheep blast. One other time my worm was standing on a dude mine, my opponent walked over and hit me once with a small arm, the mine blew and he lost his secound shot! LOL But its nothing new, this has been going on for years.

Higher or lower axe damage can sometimes simply mean that the "high damage unarmed" wormpot mode is turned on, as axe is counted as unarmed and takes (I think) 75% instead of 50% health when this mode is turned on. When it is lower, the only thing I can suggest is that the host is using a custom mode where the axe power is set lower than it's default power.

I agree with HHC that the axe ambiguities arise from "fall damage" when the axe drives the target worm into the ground at a high speed (when it isn't on exactly level ground).
As for the mines, it sounds to me as though these "dud" mines are set off as a result of "damage" to them from nearby blasts etc.
I find these things un-nerving... lol
