All second round games must be played before Monday 18 September. I will check this board, and mine and the CWT email accounts, on this Monday morning, and any games which haven't been played and reported by then will be cancelled. So, the 7 unplayed round two games must be played BEFORE: Monday 18 September, 2006I'll send an email to the wormers involved soon. There are no deadlines for the quarter finals (and beyond) yet. Good worming! PS. The eight quarter-finalists will probably be the group-stage seeds for the next CWT.

There's less than a week now til the deadline, so here's what I propose to do if things stay the same. My main concern is getting to the quarter finals as quickly as possible.
1. Konrad v Dvorkin These two seem to be equally inactive (Dvorkin is probably busy with university work) so I'll replace them both, giving a new fixture: Salda v NormalPro (if they're willing).
2. Gelete v XWorm: Gelete has been trying to arrange this game for a while now, so he'll get a bye to the quarter finals.
3. SirGorash v Johnmir: These two will get an extension, as Johnmir only recently returned to the tournament (in a special playoff).
4. TPenguin v Franpetas: Game to be played this week or weekend.
5. Javito v Jigsaw: Game played
6. Rafalus v Goku: Rafalus seems to be the active one here, so he'll get a bye (cf. Gelete).
7. Dario v David: Game played.
8. cOOL v MasterTool: Similar situation to game #1. This fixture will become Leoric v Antares (if they're willing).
If any of the four new players are don't want to play (or can't) then these are the first two back-up reserves: DustedTrooper, Fantomas. The two new fixtures must be played within a fortnight.

Whatever makes you think Konrad is inactive? We play a game or two almost everyday. Also Dvrokin is on msn pretty often. They agreed to play on September 17th, shortly after the dealine has been set up. You should wait till the end of a deadline before posting comments like these.

I think he did well ^^ gogo Penguin XD. In this way, by the time the deadline comes, the solution will have been already thought, with no more delays.

I'm glad you like my plans, Dario. Whatever makes you think Konrad is inactive? The fact that after five months he still hasn't played his game with Dvorkin (plus I've seen neither of them on msn or wormnet for a while now). Nothing mysterious there! If they get their game played, then that would be great; GL n HF to the pair of them. On the basis of activity levels, I think Salda v Antares will be the replacement game, if there's only to be one.

Nothing mysterious there! [/quote] Are you kidding me? you yourself decided to do such a long break and Konrad/Dvorkin are not theo nly ones who havent play their game yet. And now: "They seem inactive so I WILL replace them both" now followed by: "I think you DID well" ...looks totally dumb. You know I support the idea of replacing lazy players AFTER the deadline. What you do now is simply disrespectful, you've known Konrad for a long time now and he's never caused any trouble, have some faith? Also, please show me a rule stating a players has to use msn.

Jigsaw: in the opening sentence of my post on this subject, you'll the word "if". Even though I went on to use the ordinary future tense, I was still essentially in the subjunctive.
You should know as well as anyone that it's not unheard of for a good and reliable wormer to vanish. Allow me to reiterate my well wishes to both Konrad and Dvorkin, and to praise them for actually arranging their game. People who meet deadlines don't get into trouble!

Cool and Mastertool have played their game. I think it was 3-2 and Cool won.

I've just checked the tournament account, and that is indeed the case. Good. Well done, cOOL.
