Unfortunately, Betong lad, your prophecy is now fullfilled. Many newcomers seem to have forgotten about CWT qualifier's tourney and I haven't received a report in weeks. I'm getting mad at some of them... Except for Group A, all groups still have to make a reasonable amount of games and they need to wake up. I see that the main problem is to learn CWT way of being. I had a discussion (friendly) with g0d for instance; he just thinks that best-of-3 games are too long. But 1 rounders are sucky. We can loose a round by luck and that doesn't support fair competition. Besides, every1 asked for more games when CWT 2003 ended. And they think "long games are boring". Maybe they have never had an intense darkside battle to the last worm with an equal oponnent in normal style. Maybe they are the worms who got tired of playin' normal and refugee'ed on quick yet less skill demanding styles where thinking is not the main thing but executing. Pfff! This is not a weekly or daily tournament. It's CWT! I will decide over the newcomers's lazyness in a few days.

It is my pleasure to inform that both of the newcomers to CWT 2004 coming from Group A are now found.
Trixsk8 will be in A fighting Javito, Pipinasso and MBonheur.
Manolo will be in B along with Simon, MrTPlatypus and GForce.

Tiago might be around these next days and Cookdo spends lot of time online so be on messenger more often chicken lad.
NOTE ยป Plutonic has quit in Group B. I've placed him for a bulgarian wormer (UK flagged though) by the nick of Lefterov. Unfortunately I can't update CWt site in the next days due to some techincal problems with accessing the site's ftp server.

Hey Raven glad to see you posting here but I'm not glad that you selected the same avatar than me Anyway, got news. In Group D (the most problematic one) there was a quitting. Phartknocker can't handle the tournament due to personal life complications. So he quits. Must find new guy, AND COMPETENT GUY!!! If anyone knows a competent fellow interested in joining then send him to me.

I Didn't want to just add a new thread just because of this but I find it a really amuzing story... One of the newcomers who qualified for CWT 2004, Manolo (future oponnent of MrTPussy-cat), has made a move that is just unforgetable for the rest of us, portuguese wormers, while playing an offline game of WWP. I wasn't a part of that game so this is merely a glimpse of what might have been one of the lousiest moves he've ever done. Crate shower every turn, right? He gets a Concrete Donkey. Big danger coming for his foes, as you might imagine... It seems that Manolo launched the mighty Donkey without taking 1 single point of damage among the enemy troops. Everybody just got , a mix of stupidity and shock while the animal kept devouring the ground beneath him. So Manolo is known among us to be the only wormer ever to manage to use a Donkey without taking any kind of damage. Sometimes he is known as the "Concrete Manolo" among us... ;D ;D

Hahaha, that must have been a scream! I know the Portuguese are renowned for their brandos costumes, but to release a Concrete Donkey with that result is going a bit far

For those of you newcomers who may not be knowing this:
UrbanSpaceman, one of the placed CWTers (D) is having severe trouble in worming; he actually reported me that he CAN'T play worms online so he probably will have to drop out of CWT 2004, leaving an empty spot to fill in Group D, on which I will draft a 3rd placed newcomer for that spot. So even if you know you can t qualify directly fight to the end in order to get the most points possible.
(also I have drafted AmO for Nut's spot and haven't received any news from UncleDave so stay alert on this topic)
