Here's another game report from Group H.
Home Player: Nut Result: 0-2 (I won) Scheme: Intermediate Time: 00:55:14
Round 1 Island map and I went first. Nut had the edge after he managed a couple of clever double kills. I wasn't fazed and just concentrated doing as much damage as possible each turn, but I was rapidly running out of worms. Finally it was looking desperate for me as Nut had 3 full strenght worms, and I had 1 with 80 and one with 50. His 2 were pretty near each other in a bit of a hidey hole but not where I could easily damage them both. I decided to resort to my trusty petrol bomb and managed to lock 2 of his worms in while also moving one of them to a more dangerous position. However, I left my 50 damage worm exposed and Nut used an airstrike which didn't quite kill it (about 15 left). I used a switch and made a great move with my cows who charged through the landscape perfectly and killed both of his full strenght worms! After that I think Nut was a bit shocked that he didn't quite know what to do, in the end he just damaged my 80 strenght worm without killing him, and I was able to win the round after a couple of basic moves. Lucky break with the cows and the airstrike, but 0-1 to me.
Round 2 Another island map. I felt I had a bit of an edge all along in this one but still it was quite tight in terms of numbers of worms each. Nut had used his ropes quite early and near the end he had to resort to a grenade which missed (surprisingly as he is usually absolutely devastating with his nades!). I had saved my ropes so I was able to concentrate on my short game and just made sure to do damage each turn. In the end it was just a matter of roping to his 48 damage worm and win the game with a shotgun. Final score 0-2 to me.
GG Nut!

Just played another game in group H and here's my now customary match report. Opponent: Hatequitter Home Player: Frosty Result: 2-0 (I won) Scheme: Intermediate Time: 01:02:54 Round 1: Pretty close round. HQ went first, and used a couple of switches and moved his worms to safety. He didn't do any damage however on his first turn and so I felt the advantage was mine. We both played a bit nervously but things turned out better for me on this one and after I got 2 kills with my cows I stayed ahead until the end. 1-0 to me. Round 2: HQ had a problem with his connection. It was a close round all a along and nothing really spectacular went on. When the disconnection happened it was still anybody's game so no harm done. Round 3: I definitely had worse starting positions this time and HQ was going first again. (I later realised we perhaps should have agreed who should go first after the connection problem) Anyway, I had 4 worms near each other and some over the water dangerously. He shotgunned 3 worms together and did damage to all. I decided that the 3 worms were now expendable and just made sure my first worm got to higher ground and safety while batting one of his to water. Next turn HQ used a switch again and tried to knock a fourth worm with the other 3. However the drop was the wrong height and he lost his turn in the process. I used a switch and picked the healthiest worm off the pile and roped that to safety and the danger was averted. So this round carried on very tight all along. I kept leaving my worms exposed to cluster attacks and HQ punished me every time. In the end HQ had 1 100 strength worm hidden in a closed position to my 3 low strength worms but I had picked a HHG from a crate along the way. I thought if I just got one worm near him I'd have good chance of winning. However HQ was able to pick off my worms one by one through a perfectly placed zook to the wall and the other with a beautiful dragon punch through his roof. I felt the SD must be near so I wasted a bit of time and teleported far away from HQ the last second of my turn. HQ then decided to teleport near me the next round and..... Sudden Death! Bad luck for HQ, but 2-0 to me. VGG HateQuitter!

oops forgot to say congrats Frosty!!! Its seems that your dry wins are not a surprise any more Well Done! I was a spectator on HQ - MT game Very disappointing lose by MT 2:0 He had all the opportunities to grab the win the second round (3vs1 climax) But his vbl moves made HQ a winner Congrats HQ! My regrets to MasterTool

Thanks khamski! Dry wins? I'm not sure what you mean... Do you mean close games or something? I assure the wins were not very dry in the sense of being boring.

About the LaLumiere situation, I think she has some problems with MSN, and she doesn't get the messages that are sent to her... maybe you should try using e-mail.

Yeah, I guess the qualifiers are over for me, lost to Hunter Twice 2-1 just like to Franpetas The weird thing was that I thought the host always starts the game, but on my host Hunter starts, and in his host he starts again! So, he gets 4 starts overall, and I got only 2. So my tactics in my host choosing the map were wasted, and I couldn't resist his attacks. I consider my strong point to be in deadly starts. But they were nice games afterall, there were some mistakes both side, like I ended up killing my own (last) worm with super sheep again, damn those animals :S well GG anyway, GL to u Hunter in next CWT games see you in next year's qualifiers

Very interesting match i must say Leoric was attacking Hunter's worms Hunter was blowing the landscape under Leoric's army (we saw few rear masterpieces) Both players was very fast (approx. 20 sec per move) very aggressive and very accurate Great show! Congratulations to BOTH on great perfomance! HunteR you are very dangerous Leoric my regrets man! Your intelligent Aramis_style_of_play failed to beat HunteRs landscape_blowing_no_mistake_macho_mass_killing machine *geez*
