Veterans are tired of the game New guys don't feel like writing in the forum I can literally hear how the cwt train is stopping... stopping to be covered by rust and turn to dust...
I dunno maybe we can change something? Till its not too late... Throw your ideas guys Don't visit forum wordless

Yea, unfortunatly there is a big problem with CWT. Seems like old players are tied a bit. They have a very big strench here. And i suppose only they can save cwt from dieing. And we all, young players just must to show that we are ready to play, and want to play very much. Inspite of Crespo's penalty i want to play very much and will wait for the next year competition. It is a very big and nice comunity, too nice to be dead. I'm not sure that everybody understand what is going on. A lot of guys wanna play but they don't talk at all. Guys you must show that you are able to play and you are interested in this nice competition by talking to the people, not just playing your games. If Crespo see that there is no friendly comunity (noone talking to each other and noone wanna knew something about each other), Crespo will just close this site. And it will be right decision cause the main idea of this tournament to do a big nice company of very good friends. If there aren't any friends any more so just 'good game and cya all' but i hope it is not true.

I can't believe what's happened to CWT. The tournament was getting bigger and better every year, and now it seems to have gone off the rails for no apparent reason I think the factors are probably: 1) compared to the big shooters and RPGs, hardly anyone plays worms, so there aren't many people to keep a worms community alive, 2) worms is getting old, so we don't get many new players, and 3) because of the range of lifestyles, occupations, and levels of commitment of the wormers, it's hard to make a big tournament run smoothly, so people often get annoyed by the pace, the problems, etc. CWT has always been generous to its players - people who are busy in real life have been given the benefit of the doubt and extra time. This is right, because we all have lives outside worms. It's also always been lenient towards people who don't answer their emails and don't reply to messages etc. In other worms, CWT has had a laid-back lassez faire attitude since its creation in 2002. These are desperate times. The 2005 tournament has ground to a halt, and the unacceptable laziness of a significant number of the players has brought CWT to its knees. I've said this to Crespo and I'll repeat it here: we need to lay down a strict deadline for the final, and if it isn't played by this deadline, then the 2005 tournament be annulled (either that or find replacement finalists). CWT 2006 must be played in a shorter time period and with enforced rules relating to laziness and cowing. We will probably have to slim it down too, to say six groups instead of eight. There are still dozens of people who really want to be part of this tournament, so it would be a tragedy if it closed down.

I think I've informed you all about my life and my feelings towards these happenings.
I am willing to grant MrTPenguin the full powers to host the CWT. Anyone against?

I'm flattered by the offer, but unfortunately I've got too much on my plate at the moment to take over the reins of CWT...
I can't guarantee this, but I think I could host CWT 2007 if we get that far.

I think mrTPenguin woudl be the one to take the lead of CWT. Even if he says he won't have that much time to do it, i know tehre are many guys who will help. Just open a poll and ask people to say who is willing and will (WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) be as active as an organizer HAS to be. Having crespo and mrP to take big desicions, I think we have "qualified" people to work as their right hands.

my fellow english bird is correct. Things have to be strict. Remove qualifers that haven't played games. Get them finshed. If dareska isn't around then dont have a 3rd place match. I see goku alot on wa and ive seen Fanthomas on msn so they need to play. CWT can't die. It just needs to be strict on lazy players.

I agree with what's been said. What kills CWT and bores CWTers is the time it takes to finish. There are lazy players that need to be penalized strictly: some will not even care, some will start to play again at a good rate.
Penalties are good and necessary in a tournament.
Thanks to them, CWT would only last a couple of months each year and would be much more bearable for the players and for the host.

I don't see what's funny about that. The problem is not who hosts.

Greeteings. Seeing whats going on here I decided to come back to CWT earlier than I planned. For this to happen however, I must pass the second year of my studies. So if I succeed, you (whoever is going to rule;)) can sign me up for 2007 qualifications. As for 'who is going to be the host' issue, I dont think it would be a big problem. We just need someone to update the scores, and to punish lazy players. Crespo: "I'm tired of 4 years of "come on and play" If you only did what I adviced liek hundreds of times! Just mail Mielu and Darasek and tell them they have to play, lets say, november 27 sunday 8pm gmt. Ask if its ok with them, if not try another date untill they both agree on something. If one of them wont reply to your mail within like 5 days just ban him, thus giving the win to the other one. If one of them wont appear on agreed date without giving a reason BEFORE the date - ban him. And do that with every single pair/group. Just set up dates and eliminate those who dont care. Many people get inactive because they get bored with too long tourney, thats a fact. That method, if applied in group stage, will cause only active players to reach playoffs, which is fair in my opinion. To much trouble with that? Get someone else to do it, myself I'm too busy to play, but not too busy to send several emails. Take care!

Ok. Jigsaw is back. Great. And very unexpected i'd say.
Now i want to propose something. If you guys say no to this idea in CWT boundaries No problem We can start separate tourney using it. Maybe a CWT Cup?
So ok here it is
The idea is simple - [glow=red,15,300]MONEY[/glow]
Every participant pays fee Lets say 5 euros (for the 1st tourney... next time it can be 10) Lets say we have 30 participants So prize will be 150 euros
Money is not just a greedy thing. Money disciplines. Money motivates. Money filters unserious players. I am sure this prize thing will turn on veterans too! Coz its really cool!
It seems money solves all problems that we have now!
I can start the whole new prize tourney myself but it just will take more time
So i ask everybody to throw an opinion
Use snooker tourneys as an example Few top players are playing vs each other for the big prize And its always inetersting to watch! Even though its the same players from tourney to tourney
