Hi! 1. what do you think of this CWT season so far? Would be interesting to watch the result of the tourney. I mean not only "who is the winner?". It is a nice social experiment . 2. what do you think about fixed schedules? Well, it is really nice and comfortable (considering the fact that mods asked me about my free time and I thought about it really well, i realized what i was going for). I can plan my time and concentrate before each game. I'm sure i won't make anyone waiting for my games and noone will make me waiting. I'm ready to pay for this comfort, the price is probability of missing game and get penalized. 3. what do you think of a tourney with 25% tech wins? That's not very nice. It shows we often have problems with connection (i'm one of them, lol... didn't expect that...), and also we are not always well organized. Not as well organized as Khamski for example (i'm not kidding, Khamski just wanna us to be more organized). 4. what do you think of the balance in the mod squad? To be fair, i have no idea and that's not my bussiness. I have no access to the private cwt forum, but i seriously doubt there are dictatorship. I guess the situation is that Khamski just taking decisions himself, but considering other mods opinion. Probably i would act the same way being the main mod. And you? 5. what do you think of free speech for everyone? (*hrhr*) I think everyone has a right for a free speech, but if it is respectful to the mods and to others. I don't think any mod would ban someone just for telling his opinion being calm and polite (and logical, of couse). If mod does - it is bad, btw. (i can't say exactly if this fact took place cause I didn't even get a half of those misunderstandings and accidents, at the same time i saw enough emotional posts... just my thoughts)

2. absolutely agree with time.every1 have access to schedule and have time to prepare for their match
3.to that we can influence, because everyone should play games before a certain time, so that in case of problems they can play a new match
4.............
5.we r all here coz we wana play, and this forum need be here for problems, and talks.. we r all part of CWT,and part of this forum,so less cards and banns..more fun and talks

1. It sure is a ''pilot'' and a ''experimental'' tournament for normal pro players ... Probably the best organized and non interpretative tournament in history of worms... 2. One word comes to my mind: ''Discipline''. It something foreign to most of us, but we want a tourney without timekeeping problems and we are willing to learn for past mistakes, aren't we? And we have the man (and the mods team) who is willing to do fast decision making and take responsability in his own hands and who worked for this tourney regarded as ''utopic'' somehow. I was and still am involved as a host/admin in some tourneys (FTM, NNN...) and i know the problems in all kinds of scheduling, moderating, assisting, judging stuff ... all systems have flaws. But this is a special tournament, it's once a year and it's filled with history and for sure developed the old school players who fill top 10 in normal right now, no doubt. This edition wants to be the one without troubles regarding timekeeping, and for sure it will be the way it was planned. This edition is different from many points of view: A. We have some1 who is ready and willing to be the ''black'' sheep and to assume his own decisions in order to have a tourney with no interferences whatsoever. B. We have a bigger squad for helping this tourney to became better by judging games, scheduling, and so on... C. We have a material prize which should give players +1 motivation. But as a one of the greatest songs (King Crimson - Prozack Blues) says: ''... and you'll never please everybody, it's a well established fact", he said, "I recommend a fifth of Jack and a bottle of Prozac" . 3. I was hoping A,B,C were enough to prevent this by happening, but we are dealing with humans, so we are dealing with unexpected. It happends... still i preffer it to waiting endlessly for some to finish the group stage and CWT 2010 to become CWT 2011 in same edition. 4. Dunno if i am ''entitled'' to comment this. I can assure you however that every decision is based on voting. And the votings are following the democratic way, in which all votes are taken into consideration. And since now, in some decisions, i can tell you that the mod squad is not homogeneous. There were situation with very distant opinions. 5. There are rules to be followed. If some of you wanted to be part of decision making, why not voluntered for the hard work too? The same answer probably as for not be able to play on time i guess... sry for offending but some of you offend the work made by some great mates.

1. CWT always start slowly... i hope since now everything will be ok. 2. Its very good idea! 3. thats sux as hell, but its "their' fault not Khamski or any other mod. if U wrote 'i can play at this time to this' U should just on this snooper and wait for opponent. If U dont want play PLS LEAVE!

I agree in principle with the timekeeping programme, but am shocked by the high number of bootings. As someone who organised the timekeeping in a previous CWT, I know it's a hard job that can make you unpopular, and my instinct is to support the MODs. I actually wondered last night if one or more disgruntled booted players might start a revolution ...

I will not answer for all 5 points, anyway i must say at start i did not like that Mods ban ppl so easy.. but now... i think i was wrong, everyone was asked about his free time, and everyone can play BEFORE this time! So if someone have problems with connection, no electric and other bad things, or he is not just sure about date to play, he should try to play the games earlier. Many ppl dont do it, many dont even download fixed schedule, so yes.. it is THEIR fault, not Khamski. We were all informed so many times by mails etc that we should understand, we cant spit on it.. Maybe it is a bit too much "serious" but untill cwt is like 1 time on year, it should be serious.. ;] I really like discipline here, and i LOVE that first time from long time i see "And justice for all".. I mean, it doenst mean u are Random00/Koras or KinslayeR/FaD... SAME RULES FOR ALL! Great..

That's actually kind of my point of view too. But it's something else when my game isn't organized in my freetime (although it was possible) and I get yellow card for mentioning it, and red card for being willing to solve that. That's the certain difference from all those who were banned because of haven't played before/at the scheduled time! After all I want to say that "MOD's decision is a rule" and if MOD's decide to choose the very serious way of organizing this tourney it's absolutely okay. That's why I think it's justified when people become banned when they didn't play their games just like TenoriTaiga and lacoste did. All those who doesn't (want to) support this way of hosting CWT "PLS LEAVE". Even though my ban isn't justified like all the others are I think this way of hosting the tournament is nice. Also Khamski permitted me back to the forum and even asked me if I want back to the waiting list. First; season is great as always. Second; as I just said it's their way of hosting it and I think it's a good idea. Third; it's not good but that's even up to the players... that happens. Fourth; six NNN's is well balanced, hehe I'm joking xD. Fifth; actually here is free speach for everyone.

You know what I think is adding to the bad feeling? Using the word 'ban'. People aren't 'banned' from the tournament, they're just out of it. Saying 'FaD is out of the tournament by default' is a lot less harsh than 'FaD is banned'. He hasn't done anything offensive, after all.

1. what do you think of this CWT season so far? It is definitely a more rigorous and intimidating "atmosphere" than any tournament I've been in, including real life sporting events. It's pretty clear from others' comments that to correct certain problems with the looseness of the old system, the new system has gone too far in the opposite direction.
2. what do you think about fixed schedules? Incredibly misleading as a title. They meant FIRM DEADLINES, not fixed schedules, as they allow and even seem to encourage that the games be played before the scheduled time. I wish I knew this in advance. Firm deadlines are fine.
3. what do you think of a tourney with 25% tech wins? It's only the first round, and since it is a new system, some problems are to be expected as people learn it. The % of tech wins will go down as things advance, but it is still too high. The number of bans is alarming though. Some very good players have been eliminated, simply for posting in the forum. The outcome of the tournament is being partly determined by far too much “off the field” issues. Too many good players have already been eliminated that the whole thing is contaminated, and this years winner gets an *asterisk*.
4. what do you think of the balance in the mod squad? I know the personalities of many of the Mods, and many are fair people, so I think it is balanced. As far as how individual decisions are made, it's hard to say, since the decision-making process is private. What Antares says about Khamski being the "black sheep" is correct (we typically say "bad cop", but I know what he meant). The problem is that he seems to enjoy doing it… The word moderator is the wrong word though. "Moderator" has to do with arbitration, mediation, moderation, all of which have to do with dispute resolution between two or more other parties. They are referees of CWT, not moderators, and as far as the forum goes, "dictator" seems to be the correct word (look it up in an encyclopedia): absolute power, suspension of free speech, and rule by decree. Heck, Khamski even says again and again that "Mods decision is a rule".
I think that rules are rules, and refs should enforce the rules, but their decisions should never themselves be consider rules. Here, it's not "Same rules for [i.e., applied to] all." It's "moderators decisions apply to all" which they claim can't be formalized into explicit rules. I think making a system of rules as explicit as possible, and holding everyone to the rules, is a much better system than total power in the decisions of a few people, or in this case, one. In short, and without getting to deep into political philosophy, I prefer the rule of law, not the rule of man, and I think there are good reasons for doing so, even in internet leagues and tournaments (ONL operates by rule of law. by the way).
5. what do you think of free speech for everyone? (*hrhr*) Obviously not present. Khamski, the "moderator", has confused the forum with the tournament, and has confused disagreement, and has even confused DISCUSSION with disrespect. It is possible to respect someone, yet disagree with a process they've put in place, or a decision they have made. To me, nothing is more disrespectful than actively discouraging discussion, ESPECIALLY about controversial decisions by a 'new government.'
I've been debating whether or not to post something like this for a weeks now, as I don't feel comfortable with the way things are going, but didn't want to start trouble with folks here, many of whom are my clan mates. But, if I say nothing and continue to play, I am implicitly saying that this is all okay, and it is not. So, I'm out of the tournament. This was my first year in CWT... maybe I'll try again next year if things are "under new management" and there is a clear system of rules in place.
Wriggler out.

Yeah we are enforcing the rules. Nothing more. "MODs decision is a rule" statement was born just becase this is first tourney of its kind. We can't predict every situation. This is a test drive. And we all are crash test dummies.
If people here could think a bit above their offended pulsing egoes they would see that there is no dictatorship but a lot of hard work and desire to keep CWT alive and create a new effective playing system.
We had to work together to achieve it but seems like for most of us it is more thrilling to play rebels then to play worms.
