Teletubbies (England) 0 : 3 NormalPRO (Russian Federation) To be honest this game was one of my best ever played. The main reason why I won is that I managed to concentrate, and made few mistakes, but on the other hand Pete with all my respect was a bit slow expecially in decision-making. I would like to tender thanks to Pete for very honest game and moreover very interesting game to play. Hopefully Peter have not discouraged and maybe sometimes he will take revenge for this 0:3 loss.

Round 1 - The heat was on, and Voodoo runs away with the first round - both players a lil shaky, but ol' piss head Voodoo's used to it.
Round 2 - Bytor bounces back and takes round 2, note: Mr Lightside took out around 5 worms due to poor placement on his first move, nice :-)
Round 3 - Dirty, dirty, dirty play from Vooodoo (45 sec girder placement etc.) forces Bytor on the attack before Sudden Death, he risked too much - round drawn (kami to water) - this should have been Bytors round, yay for Darkside!
Round 4 - Voodoo wins, the darkside from the previous round seemed to upset Bytors attack.
Round 5 - Voodoo just couldnt kill Bytors worm on 1 f***in health point (evaded Napalm and Homer!), 3 worms dropped while attacking 1 and Bytor somehow took the round! 2-2
Round 6 - Trying to forget the previous round, some clever play took an early lead, so safe worming play from there (+ shotgun with Dx2) on won the match for Voodoo.

Voodoo 3 - 0 NormalPro Well, having beat teletubs 3-0, I HAD to get revenge for Queen and country! Round 1 - Fairly safe win for myself Round 2 - NormalPro should have easily won, but sinister, never say die tactics from Voodoo made a drawn round :-) Round 3 - NormalPro should have won this from the start, but Voodoo turned it up a lil and made another victory Round 4 - An average start from NP on an open map, a poor reply from myself, but lots of good recovery shots to make up for f*** ups - easy win in the end. Fairly simple games, nothing extraordinary - just good darksiding that never let NormalPro win a round. Rock on England!!!

What can I say? From one hand I am quite satisfied with my first year in CWT. I managed to be amoung the 8 most powerful CWT players, on the other hand the game against Voodoo was very bad performance of mine, I made lots of stupid mistakes, but to be honest sometimes Voodoo made me make such mistakes, moreover I was a bit nervous So, it was a deserved victory for David. However I like CWT and enjoyed playing there, that's why I will be back in 2005 CWT

Darasek 0 - 3 fury At last I got to play with Darasek. I hope mielu gets a chance to play with tixas one day, too. We had the pleasure to have a spectator, MrTPenguin, who I thank again for remaining silent First round, we agreed to play in a closed cave with no holes, I started really badly by inflicting damage to myself with the shotgun, and lost my second shot. Nervosity was here for me, and Darasek was playing fine. Got much cooler in second turn (I worked on my stress-control ;D) and we both played well during the whole round, with a little mistake here and there. I got a lucky minigun crate, which allowed me to kill a 100 hp worm easily. It finished in 2 for me vs 1 for darasek, he wanted to attack but finally chose to darkside. Used my last switch and jetpacked + roped to him. Second round, Darasek chose a complex island map with a hole that was hard to put worms into. Went well for the both of us until I got the advantage thanks to a quite good use of my HHG whereas he did not do so well with his cows. In a crate I got a banana bomb which I decided not to use to win, this could have cost me the round because I didn't inflict enough damage with the dynamite , but I could finish his dying worm with my last 100 hp worm. Third round, this time I chose the map, a complex cave closed to the left. Darasek was harder to beat here, it was very close until I place a good HHG which killed a 100 hp worm, and made a pile of 3 worms. Finished in 3v1, Darasek tried something but fell and hurt himself. Killed his 71 hp worm with my worm, using a dynamite. I'm happy with my performance, cause I was playing soooo bad against Dario the day before, so noobish, lost 2-0... Bad luck Darasek, hope you'll do better next year.

MrTPenguin 3-2 Crespo [1:44:49] Spectators: Bytor (host), Fury, Javito, Jigsaw (d/c halfway through), NormalPRO. Round 1: Crespo was the stronger player for most of this round, and I wasn't producing anything memorable. When the point came when I thought "well, this is gonna be a straightforward win for him" I was wise not to give in, because I managed to pull-off a good comeback and steal the round from under my opponent's nose. Round 2: This was in a cavern, and it was one of those caverns that I find acutely uninspiring for some reason. Crespo won it without too much trouble. Round 3: This round was quite close, and boiled-down to a 1v1 situation with two 50+ worms. I roped to his worm and sheeped it at close-quarters, but the explosion caused my worm to fall into the pit made by the sheep. He dropped a good mine that drowned my worm, and he won it to go 2-1 up. This was the biggest "low" of the game for me. I thought I was more likely to lose than win at this point, and that I would rue that sheep for months. Round 4: The second and last cavern of the game. There was a crate shower in this game which was an important factor - Crespo had an accident with an otherwise potentially devastating Sally Army, and I did a crucial late kill with some cows. I was delighted to win this round and equalize. Round 5: This round felt like a mirror-image of round 1 to me, with me having the slight upper hand most of the time. There were some accidents in the bottom middle of the map, which was a dangerous place indeed. The round culminated in a quasi-BnG nade battle, which yielded no hits, and that includes Crespo's hole-in-one which bounced out! That nade of his summed up the game for him - good effort but several critical bits of bad luck. He moved in and killed my weaker worm, and then I moved in and killed his worm and won the game. I've omitted quite a few interesting little bits because I don't want the review to be too long. It was a brilliant game which was rightly appreciated by the crowd. I know that Crespo was very keen to do well this year after his disappointment last year, so it's a shame he had to go out. Thank you for a very memorable match Crezza

Yeah very memorable, the two contestants were really good, and I'm sure that if there had been a sixth round, Crespo would have won it cause he's damn good under pressure.
I think that Crespo made the most impressive and effective turns (I saw tricks that I never saw before in a serious match!!) but MrTPenguin did a bit less mistakes and was a bit luckier overall.
Congrats Penguin, and better luck to Crespo next year.

I have to state the loser's point of view here:
MrTPenguin won the game in round 1 in my concern. That last lucky worm of his standing on the edge of the cliff after my pneumatic drill gave him the game. I played at a nice level at round 2 and 3 and that would have been 3-0 score for me. After round 4 I made too many mistakes, some of which are due to a crate shower and, in round 5, a double kill with bat missed for 1 second... By that time I was seeing the outcome of the game and several times blamed my poor luck on round 1...
I didn't chatted with anyone after the game cuz' I was so pissed off that talking would make me pass to the "bad loser's place" so I prevented that to happen. So don't take it wrong please.
See you all in the battle fields in 2005.

agreed Crespo, 1st round looked like its yours; after those two rounds that i saw i wouldnt think you can lose on that day, no doubt that both of you were determined as hell there, still im bit disappointed that you lost since i wont get a chance to play you under the tourny conditions (if i win vs mielu/tixas that is) since for me you are the most inconvinient opponent (as i already mentioned i believe) its the most difficult to play against excelent passive player, who always have more ropes/select worms than i can guess!

Please stay with us for next year Jigsaw! You'll certainly have the opportunity to fight him in real tourney conditions And I don't blame Crespo because being so disgusted to lose a playoff shows that he hates defeat and loves victory, and that's how a cwter should be. However I think that always talking about bad luck is not a good way to improve. Although I agree MrTPenguin had more luck globally than Crespo, the pneumatic drill turn and the bat missed by 1 second didn't seem bad luck to me (the drill was not powerful enough according to me, and the reason of the timeout with the bat is that Crespo's been trying to rope somewhere else before choosing to bat (I think, can someone confirm?)). Just my two cents. Peace.
