well done, Jigsaw & fury. The master wins & the new boy is second. Sorry to hear you won't be playing next year Jiggers, you are a great champ. Who will wear next year's crown? only time will tell. Well done Pingu on getting 3rd, your podium position is well deserved. Best of luck to this years qualifiers, I'm sure you'll put up a great show. :-) ;D

Bytor, when can we see (and hear) the video of the final? I know all the rounds were not recorded, but I would be very curious to analyze the strategies

HHC vs CooL, qualifiers round: Cool plays at home: sets are intermediate. The first two matches ended in 1-1, quite easy victories for both sides. So it depended all on our last game. I wasn't too happy with the placement of my worms and i was second to go. He took a small lead early on but i fought back and took over the lead for 1 or 2 turns, then messed up and started losing energy faster than he did. I was on a serious disadvantage now. I just continued sg'ing and doing 50 damage per turn, while i ran out of switches, ropes and jetpacks. I was hoping for a miracle now. And it did arrive. I noticed my worms were 3 to 4, so i decided to choose for a pile tactic, which paid off really well. We went down to 2 vs 3 and in the end 1vs3...that's when i used a sheep to take out 2 of his, while the other one was blocked by petrol flames. This was my chance! So i released the sheep, but oh nooooo one of the worms had 1 energy left This "1" worm now had a shot at mine, a sheep, i had 75 energy left, fortunately it did a mere 40, so i had about 36 left. It also killed his own worm. Fortunately the other worm was still blocked, but i couldn't take advantage of it because i didn't have any ropes or so left to go to him, nor had i enough room to launch my supersheep. So i placed a girder to protect myself. Then SD set in! noooo! we both went down to 1 HP (he had just 2 hp left before sd!). Now he tried roping over to deal me the fatal shot with SG. He managed to land on my protection girder, shot a hole in it, fell down to a small piece of land in the middle of my hiding cave, but he just didn't have enough aim now to shoot me! he had only one chance, dropping down even further. So i watched, really tense, how he dropped his worm..... POP!! fd! the worm fell from too high and lost his 1 HP, i won!!! Closest game ever, but HHC takes the 2-1 home with him Now i'm eager to beat him on my home ground: Eliteleague scheme.

Heya fellow CWT'ers, Today I had the pleasure to make contact through MSN with the CWT 2005 QUALIFIERS lady herself! The usual chit-chat for a first aproach took place but she got me real curious about her level of play when she told me she had started to play her first game against HHC a few days ago, which was left to untie at a 1-1 score... Well, I got so curious that I went to see the lady's first (complete) game against CooL. I only got the chance to see the first round because my screen went black in round II and therefore I had to quit. But what I saw was a tremendous display of worming by the little lady. She moved along the map fast and swift, mastered the rope maneuver (still needs some practice on knocking I must assume , never stopped her worm to think (cuz' obvously she got it all figured out right away) and that round was her's. As I had to quit the session I had to realize that there's a new kind of wormer, a "wormeress", trying to enter CWT! In the end, the lady won the match on 2-1 scoring and both intervenients decided to go for their second (and CooL's last, which he needed to win), which I was to host for them. The game starts and CooL begins with some constant play and good moves. The lady tries for some comeback and I dare say that if not a missed jump she would have had that comeback indeed but she drowned one of her warriors with a bad jump. 0-1 for CooL. Round II starts and CooL hits her with some heavy damage and early kills. She went for a very Crespo-like strategy: some damage here or there, not wasting precious ammo, and wiped out the left zone of the map (cave map). Because CooL couldn't penetrate in that zone to kill the lady's 2 100 worms and had wasted his selects, then the lady started to use her selects to make precious kills, meanwhile CooL starts missing some important turns, which are greatly taken by Anfisa, she didn't go balistic on leaving her zone and let CooL had the initiative, it was a 2 x 2 situation. He tried to penetrate the zone with one 50 healthed worm while the other crippled worm was quite far, which gave her the advantage all the way and in the end CooL had no chance but to darkside to escape and wait for sudden death to help him because he didn't make no damage to her 100 worms. She took the round, even although she complicated a lot in the end. 1-1. Round III: Open map and she went first. It is a fact that she got better placement but CooL made the wrong options for his early moves and after mid-time of that round it was clear won would win it. SHE would! CooL by that time was extremely nervous and wasn't making any special moves. He was beaten again. After this I might say that I'd never expect the lady to be so good. After having her winning over my countryman (on who I had some sympathy cuz' I know his sister personally) I really want the lady to qualify to CWT 2005. I thought she would be a sitting duck, but I was wrong... She is not the first woman in CWT, in 2002 the mother of the infamous Zero - Makimura - also joined CWT (didn't play jack s*@t) along with a lady from Finland nicked Eebu, which was quite poor too. With this acquisition I can say that CWT gained a lot, as a bunch of wormers and as a group of people, diferent in each time more aspects. Oh how I love my tournament, my friends!
