The "competition status" thread is getting bit long, so let's use this one for the KO stage.
Myself and Konrad are planning to play our game on Saturday 23rd April.

Penguin, the politeness states that you should have said "Konrad and myself" instead About the game, I'd be happy to watch it, can you send a reminder post some time before the event? Ta! PS: oh, and btw I'm improving a bit at speaking with the irish dude, nice!

I'm no English scholar, in fact I'm barely literate but shouldn't it be "Konrad and I"?

Moi et Konrad will either play at 14:00 BST this Saturday, or sometime on Sunday.
I hope the other second round fixtures are determined and played ASAP.

Nice match Konrad VS Penguin It is sad but I would not be able to watch it , but GL both guys and do not follow the example of game length of my game with Dario, otherwise is could be something of 3 hours of baah and blahh P.S. Konrad vs Penguin is the match which in my opinion really deserves to be further in the play-off table (semewhere in semis), caz u both are very strong wormers - the wormers with capital letter

MrTPenguin 3-1 Konrad (an hour and a quarter) The first round was on an island, and I went first. I didn't do anything significantly wrong, and a small number of mistakes (mainly on the rope) by Konrad resulted in me winning. The second round was on another island, and was closer than the previous one. Konrad - who hasn't played much worms for a while - made more mistakes, which cost him this round too. The third round was in a cavern, and a slight placement advantage coupled with a lack of a gameplan from me led to a fairly comfortable win for Konrad. I kissed goodbye to my perfect record at this point... The fourth round was on an island, and I got off to a good start. Towards the end though - perhaps buoyed up by his previous win - something of the Old Konrad started to re-appear. It came down to a 2 v 1 worm situation, where I had two on ~40 (which were far apart), and he had one on 100. I roped to his and took it down to 50. He then girder-blocked himself and my worm. I had no selects, so I air-striked the girder. At this point I was thinking: "kill one of my worms, so I can then kill yours!" But, not being a fool, he didn't kill the close worm, but instead headed to the other one. I thought: "yes, yes, kill that one, so my other one can kill yours!" BUT, he did a second girder-blocked-pile. My attempt to destroy the girder failed, and he then killed the worm. Fortunately for me, his worm was near the girder, so I was able to kill it with a sheep - phew... gg Konrad - it was an exciting match I hope the fact that Second Round has now physically started will cause the last few group games to be played quickly.

Well done MrPen, it's tough at the top Konrad. Konrad also told me he had not enough practice.
I think we can all take note of what the great pianist Arthur Rubinstein said, 'If I don't practice for one day, I notice it. If I don't practice for two days, my wife notices it. If I miss three days, the audience notices it.' I feel that if I were to take a week off, I would have to go back and learn all over again.
Well that could also apply to Worms, if you don't practice every day....
:-)
