Johnmir, Crespo is completely right, you have misunderstood the situation, firstly you need to qualify successfully next year, it is a long time before it, but what to do? I think in CWT 2005 you will play the role of spectator, however, in CWT 2006 you have high chances to play in the main stage of the tournament if you qualify of course.
And in CWT 2005 I am goona have not less interesting battle with Fantomas, heh it gotta be a hardass ;D

Oh, my god, sorry Crespo, I forgot to add ''join CWT 2006''. And ''hope'' = '' hope to go through qualif 2006''. I understand all you said. And I understand that I must go through qualif 2006. Sorry for my silly fraze. Could i sign in CWT 2006 qualif?

I must say I feel sorry for David. When Nyctalope told me he would probably not play in CWT 2005, I told him to do the best he can to win his -probable- last official game, so that he shows to everyone he's very good. That's what he did, he won it, but I thought David would go through after Nyctalope's quitting. It seems logical to me. When I met MBonheur last time he just lost against Intrepid and was a bit angry, but he accepted it and was not so eager to play in 2005... he's currently working on his electrical experiments and it seems to take much of his spare time. David was a great wormer (3-2 against Nyctalope), wanted to qualify, promised a lot, and moreover he's a good mate, why not let him play? Ask MBonheur if he would leave his spot considering this.

This is my understanding of the rules regarding quitting: 1) In the early stages of the qualifiers' competition (QC)The player at the top of the waiting-list replaces the quitter, and the games that the quitter played in are erased (gl or bl to whoever he played ;-) ) 2) In the latter stages of the QCIt's too late for a replacement, so for all the games the quitter hasn't yet played, the opponent gets 3 points (in effect, they're considered to have "beaten" him). 3) During the QC playoffsBy now, all the players from the QC have been ranked according to their performances. The player at the top of this new list replaces the quitter. [Note: you could argue that the player who came third in the quitter's group should be the replacement] 4) In the first half of the CWT group stageSee #3. The quitter's games are erased too, if any have been played. This is where fury has suggested that - in the event of the quitter having just come through the QC - the replacement wormer could/should be the player who lost to the quitter in the QC, as opposed to the player at the top of the ranked list. 5) In the second half of the CWT group stageSee #2 6) During the CWT knockout stageLet's hope this never happens... I haven't spoken to Crespo about this, but this is my common-sense theory: If the quitting is in the 2nd round, then the highest-ranked non-qualifier from the CWT group stage is the replacement wormer. [Note: see the "note" for #3] If it happens in the quarter-finals or the semi-finals, then the replacement is either the player who the quitter beat in his last game or the highest ranked wormer from the previous stage. Note that this is essentially the same issue as the MBonheur/David one, except this time it's higher up in CWT :-) [As you can see, I'm not sure about this one] If it happens in the final then I think the player who lost in the semi-final to the quitter should go into the final, and the other losing semi-finalist should get the bronze. There are obviously other things you could do here, and my suggestion is by no means an ideal one.

When I told Mbonheur about his new seat in CWT 2005 he seemed pleased about it. I don't believe that hand-picking between the wormers is fair. I stablished the draft ranking exactly to prevent that to happen. The fact is that MBonheur made more games and more points (6/1 - 16 points) and David made only the enough games to be first (4/0 - 12 points). Remember that besides the level of play there is competency on schedule (and I do recall fury as one of the most displeased against the delayers back in CWT 2004 ); the fact is that if David had played all of his 6 games then he would have been the first one to be drafted, along with kain (who got in Jig's empty seat). I believe my method is quite clear and I do support the same feelings about quittings exposed by MrTPenguin. P.S.: If DustedTrooper and 13 keep silent me thinks there will be some more new blood into 2005...

Why didn't David play his last 2 games? Seems to me the cause is the presence of this DeathBringer dude that only played 2 games. So he wasn't first on the draft lift because he had the bad luck playing in this group? And as I always said (but I'll stop explaining my point on this in the future), I believe the delay problems don't only depend on the wormers but also on the fact the rules are not severely enough applied. Anyway there was no delay problem with David as far as I know. Despite all I said above, it's true that we know MBonheur is reliable since he played several years in this tournament. But I don't like it when such great and motivated wormers are thrown out in the garbage without any excuse for next year's tournament.

As far as I know Group B was one of the first to stop playing so why didn't David pestered DeathBringer to make the final games??
Anyway by your point of view fury imagine if WormingGirl quitted: Dr3aWoRmS would have his spot right? Very unfair thing when comparing to ALL the wormers who lost the knockout game because I've played most of them and I do believe that they were all superior to my countryman... So: "what is fair?" I may ask you... Groups are sorted randomly so we are all dependent on who we play against. That's a part of the thing we can't make disapear...
And I'm not really bothering about this because I'm sure I did things the best way possible for the unqualified qualifiers and plus! I'm also sure that there will be at least 1 more (unqualified) qualifier going on 2005...

Fine.
I won't get back to that anymore. But just notice that Jigsaw was a newcomer when he won CWT 2003. I was a newcomer when I reached the final in 2004. When you like a community and no one knows about you, you want to shine in order to be accepted. The only reason why I want more great newcomers to join in is that they raise the level of the tournament.

Again I answer fury: if you and jigsaw had to make a qualifiers tournament I'm sure both of you would qualify.

Hey, I have to say something about this.
Indeed I haven't played the last two games against DeathBringer. That was 'cause he always said to me: "I can't now, my computer is broken" or "I have to go now, maybe another day". I think he didn't wanna play 'cause he had nothing to do in qualifiers after losing two games.
Anyway, thanks for your support Fury (first time in History a French helps a Spanish), but I really had deserved to be in CWT if I would have won Nyctalope.
I think Crespo is doing the best. No matter if I play the 2005's 'cause I have no chances to win.

Well..... hum... (sorry for my english, i hope you will all understand) IF THIS IS TOO LONG FOR YOU ( I know i wrote a novel sorry), READ THE END PARAGRAPH I'm sorry guys to make so many problems... For sure, I wanted to play that "so much reached" tournament that I met thanks to my friend Fury (thank you mate ). But I didn't think that playing wwp would have some incidence on my school work. As some of you know, I study kiropractic, and it's not so easy for me. But the important thing is that I wasted 4 years of my life before entering my school, smoking joints, doing nothing at college, missing 2 "baccalaureats" ( dictionnary translate this by : school-leaving examinations leading to university entrance qualification). Nevermind, I CAN'T miss my real life, and I can't be enough responsible to play and work... I can't do the same mistakes and I HAVE TO do something of my life now. I know this can seem weird, but, I'm as I am... I'm sorry David... I thought as Fury that quiting would have put you at my place... This is my worms history ( I always wanted to tell you that, even if some don't care ) I'm so glad to have met all of you guys. When I discover this game, it was just for me a way to remember my childhood. Playing WA first, then WWP, i remembered the time i played worms 1 with my brother (who cut bridges with my family) a long time ago... (It's so nice to remember good and losts moments, isn't it ?!). When I saw I could play on the net, i was very excited ! I started with shoppa because those guys roping was awfull ! I'm sure all of you thought that at the first time . But once boring by these ropes games, starting to be much more interrested by normal games, I played "RETRO" for a time... And I met Fury and some of you! How great it was to play strategy and how HUGE was this spirit, that is not so commun nowadays... I so wanted to enter this tournament, just to have really good games (I'm not a competitor), and to have fun ! Even if a friendship is a little weird by the net at the beggining, I can say now that I met really good people that became friends And I thanks them to be so nice each time Finally, my reasons can be "not a big deal". But I am really sorry about you David. The fact is that I didn't know (when I played qualifiers) if I could assume this tournament and my studies. Well, I thought I could, but I missed my first trimester at school. I can't replay that in the second trimester. I'm sooo sad to quit , and I really hope I will do a cwt one year (maybe in 5 years ) This does not mean that I won't play anymore, it means that I won't play as much as I did. So I can't assume a tournament, because, I want to be a real part of it, I want to do my best... But now, I have to do this best for studies, and I'm sure you will all understand that. Playing with you guys is so pleasant ! ... Special thanks to you Crespo: as I repeat it, congrat's for this great tournament!
