Hi guys, First of all, sorry for being out of reach for such a long time, not answering emails and not showing up on msn; lots of problems to deal with, then a long vacation to compensate... so I've only recently managed to take a good look through the new content on both the cwt web site and the forum. Lots of activity in the qualifiers - great stuff! Anyways... the reason I'm starting this thread is to discuss the topic of a better domain name for the cwt web site. I've asked about this a while ago in the forum, and, as far as I recall, I only got one reply, from Teletubbies, who wondered whether it's worth doing at all, and in any case suggested a short name, like crespos.net (I tend to agree with this one). I've seen Crespo mentioned this again recently in a post - by the way, fury and Crespo, you're too kind, I really think I don't deserve either the MoT title or the good opinion you have of my worming abilities, but who am I to contradict two awesome wormers? ;D So, what do you guys think? Is www.wormstournament.com.sapo.pt good enough, or is it worth changing into something shorter, or easier to type / remember? Please post your opinions, together with ideas for the domain name, if you think a change is worthwhile. Teletubbies' suggestions were: cwt.biz crespos.org crespos.net cwwpt.org

"cwt.biz" would be great. Changing to something like that would be a good idea.
In case anyone's wondering about the most obvious ones, here are three domains that have already been taken:
cwt.com - "Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP" (a legal practise)
cwt.org - "Consumers for World Trade" (an American group)
cwt.net - this one's blank...

I must say that before bookmarking the CWT website, I've always had trouble finding it because I never managed (but didn't try very hard) to memorize it... So yes, maybe it's a good idea to make a shorter name. Also when you find out a great wormer and you want him to join CWT, he's much more likely to go to the website if, in the WWP chatroom, you tell him "go to www.cwt.org" rather than "go to google and look for Crespo Worms Tournament"... PS : Welcome back mielu

From Crespo's mind:
Well, let's have a change then. I too would like to have a cool site like the ones mentioned.
So what urls are free for us to use then?

Well,
crespo.net is taken (!) by some Spanish company, and all similar domain names (crespo.org etc.) are taken as well.
crespos.net is available, but I don't know if you'll like this one.
Pretty much everything like cwt.net is taken, even cwt.info.
We should try to come up with another nice acronym for Crespo's Worms Tournament; I don't have any good ideas just yet.

cwwt.net sounds good to me, but maybe it should stand for Crespo's World Worms Tournament cwwt.org is also available; cwwt.com has already been reserved, but there's nobody actively using it yet.

There was talk last year of renaming CWT the "Worms World Cup" (WWC), but the idea was shelved... until now. To be honest, I think we'd all still refer to it as "CWT" whatever we renamed it as, so we may aswell keep it.
c-w-t.com would be good.

There is so much cwt sites that the "worms" before the "cwt" would be interresting.
worms.cwt or cwt.worms then the w of cwt could stand for world...
And what about cwormst ? crespowt ? cwtournament ?
and with dots ?
