GreetinGs to u all noble CWTers! I dunno maybe it is a little bit rude for me to create a thread Coz i am not playing cwt yet and i am a newcomer here BUT While playing my fist month on wormnet i've been attcacked by defeated players complaining on the rules i set up (i actually didnt change a thing except adding blood)
So I really wanna know answers on these 3 questions
1. Is sudden_death_with_reduce_life_to_1 a normal setup for NNN games? 2. Can i use things like EARTHQUAKE if i picked it up in-game (after crate shower for instance)? 3. How do you guys resolve disconnection issues?
p.s. I am sorry if its all already been discussed in some kind of faq or smth... i didnt find it here

1 St this is CWT not NNN, lol The allowable schemes for Group and Newcomer stage games are listed on CWT's web site. Playoff games are always played with default settings, Intermediate, 16 worms, and 3 round victories. There has always been an ongoing argument about what to do with crates, So here is how I feel personally. U can not modify the intermediate scheme without loosing Jet pack and select worms. There-for games are played with the danger of crates giving a one sided victory. I personally WILL NOT USE ANYTHING I GET IN A CRATE. This is not to be noble, it is just my personal choice. I would rather loose then take an unfair advantage. Some others feel the same as me and some do not. There is no rule that says crates can not be used, so it up to the individual. Most of what U need to know can be found here: wormstournament.com.sapo.pt/

I personally have no qualms about using crates. I consider them a part of the game, a luck of the draw same as the starting positions. I wouldn't say that losing because of bad starting positions was unfair, just unlucky.
And the thing with luck in Worms is that it's not really luck, it's coincidence and probability. It is probable that in the long run you will get equal amount of bad and beneficial starting positions. Also the same way it's probable that any advantage you gain from a crate will just as often fall to your opponent. Therefore not taking advantage of your bit of "luck" when it happens means that in the long run you are just giving advantage to your opponents.
I would definitely not consider using the crates as "unfair" advantage in any case.

Very sorry for using your thread Khamski in my own interests. Bytor, i dunno what i should do to meet you and at least to talk to you in wormnet. You usually play at 4.00 (my time) . But i will try to catch you mate... Btw very funny miss with NNN, Khamski, LOL About crates I only can say : remember Khamski that even if you use crates it will help you not against every opponent. There are too good players (like Goku, MrTPenguin, Bytor and many others). It is nothing more then just individual question, and I suppose it is not very actual problem (using crates) in games best of 5 (even best of 3 i think). We talked too much about it, and i can see that crates is too little help in winning CWT.

JohnMir: I wanted to write on NNN site but i've looked at the date of last posts... and hmmm... i understood that the place is kinda dead Above all that as i see most NNN members playing CWT so i think its reasonable to ask questions here. Frosty: ty i have we have exactly the same view on the problem ok it is all clear about questions 1 and 2 thank u guys But question 3? If game was discinnected? And u had real advatange. Game was yours. And then suddenly blam! What then? How do CWTers solve it? Just playing again?

Again it's in the rules But it's not rare that the opponents agree together to let the other one win/lose if there was a big advantage.
