i think one day as today wormnet goes and never come again. For that we have to think about what can we do when that occurs.
I think all the worm pros must to have an alternavite way to play than wormnet, and today that posibility exist.
I explained the way founded by kisiro and me to all nnn members, but i dont have the msg here because i wrote on hotmail and i didnt save it. And i dont want to write that again, Can anyone post it? please.

==== quote begins Yesterday nnnKisiro and me, were investigated a few hours making a lot of stupid things to try play ropeknoking. Well finally..... we got it !! 1: Get Worms Armageddon 2: Get Xp patch for armageddon from team17 web page ( only necesary if you have the full cd version of W:A) 3: Aply the attached file , the important think of this ( that is a version of wormsilk 4.10a that enables u to ropeknoking and more things ) founded by kisiro. 4: install Hamachi to play trought the lan and fuck off wormnet 5: i propose an standard rule to make all we know, the next time wormnet is down all of us can go for example to the "nnnworms" network created by me or onyone of yours with the pass "nnn". With this we can organice little competions out of wormnet. Enjoy it Libre ==== quote ends Just read yer thread so here is yer message

In the long-term, post-Wormnet worming (including CWT) will probably be done by direct-IP games and/or using a new wormnet that someone else* will have created. *Mielu, fury: you know you could do it!

yep, the special thing of this is :
first : ropeknoking not allowed directly and with the patch we can.
second: with "hamachi" program we can make a local network very easily with no necesary to know any ip, hamachi creates freeware a local network with a name, everybody who uses this program only have to type the name and pass and will see all the people who is in.
"hamachi" is great, i use too to make internal lans to connect remote offices.

I've actually read about this a bit on the Team17 forum. It seems a couple of people tried it without clear results so far. The protocol can probably be reverse-engineered, except for one thing: it looks like some encryption is being used. If they chose asymmetric encryption, with the server having the private key and the wwp clients having the public one, we won't be able to use the standard wwp image to connect to our own server; we'd have to patch the game to change the public key to correspond to our own pair. I can only hope we'll get a chance to do this before wormnet goes down for good, 'cause reverse engineering will be much more difficult without a working reference system .
